  Artificial Intelligence in the Healthcare Industry  Introduction to Research Area            Artificial Intelligence (AI) defined by a branch of computer science that makes it possible for machines to learn and adjust to new inputs controlled by a computer to do tasks that are performed by humans because they require human intelligence and discernment. Artificial intelligence was discovered as an academic discipline in 1956 (Wikipedia). It went through multiple cycles of optimism followed by disappointment.
